  • GRÀCIA. Gràcia, district of narrow streets and small squares, was united to Barcelona in 1897. Gràcia is one of the most popular districts of Barcelona. When entering the district the atmosphere change is remarkable. Small buildings of two plants, with a series of attractive small squares. The zone is very popular because of its rich night life. It is where many students live, a creative community of artists, actors, musicians, photographers and designers contribute to the special atmosphere of the area.

  • RAVAL. El Raval district is one of the most lively areas of Barcelona. Walking down Las Ramblas towards the sea El Raval is located on the right hand side. This area is in constant urban and cultural transformation, and its peculiar mixture invokes the interest and the admiration of all. This area represents the "authentic" Barcelona. Some of the main monuments of the city are less than a 10 minute walk from here.
  • BARCELONETA. The Barceloneta district has been built on reclaimed lands from the sea (originally used to build the Port in the XV century) about 250 years ago. Flanked by the Mediterranean it had become the fishermens district until first half of xx century. Now days everybody goes to the district to eat in its numerous restaurants, because of its proximity to the center (10 min.)and the special character of the district and its inhabitants.

  • EIXAMPLE DRET. The Eixample Dret district called as well “El Plan cerdá” was created from the project of the expansion of the city, and its union with the surrounded towns, made by the famous city planner Idelfonso Cerdá. The Eixample district is a unique zone which represents the greater expression of the modernist architecture, and specially Gaudí’s (Milá House, the Batlló House and the Sagrada Family). Its avenue Paseo de Gracia is considered one of the most beautiful avenues in the world.

  • GÒTIC. The Gothic District passes between the two most important avenues of the old city, Via Layetana and Las Ramblas, and between the Catalonia square and the sea. This District constitutes the heart of the old city of Barcelona where the walled Roman city was located (the orígen of present Barcelona). The apartment is located less than 10 min. walking of almost all the tourist attractions of Barcelona.

  • EIXAMPLE ESQUERRA. The district of Eixample Esquerra also called the "Plan Cerdá" was created from the project of the enlargement of the city, and his union with the nearby towns, realized by the famous town planner Idelfonso Cerda. It is located near Plaza Espanya, the precinct of the Fira of Barcelona and of the Hospital Clinic. His avenue Paseo de Gracia is considered one of the most beautiful in the world
  • SAGRADA FAMILIA. The neighborhood of the Sagrada Família, before known as the Poblet, was a neighborhood that for many years was reduced to fieldsand then as a working-class district around many industries. Today what gives him personality is the temple of Sagrada Família, Gaudí best-known work throughout the world and the most visited place by the tourists of the city. Around this very famous monument of Barcelona are located many restaurants, bars and shops of souvenirs
  • SANT ANTONI. The district of Sant Antoni is located in the high part of the Raval. It is limited by Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes street, Round of Sant Antoni, Round of Sant Pau and Paral.lel street. The center of interest of this district is without doubt the Market of Sant Antoni that was built at the end of the 19th century. This market is very popular for its weekly fair of old books that takes place each Sunday morning. In the rest of the neighborhood of the Raval you can find lots of bars , restaurants of design and some of the oldest and famous buildings of Barcelona, like the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona or the Palau Güell.
  • SANT MARTÍ. Sant Martí was one of the most important Spanish industrial district of the 19th century but during the last decades has experienced an important economic and urban development transformation. The best example is the construction of the Vila Olympic and the recovery of the maritime front and its beaches. It is a quiet area where you will be able to enjoy the various bars and restaurants as well as the promenade. It is 5 minutes away by bus or by subway from Barcelona center.
  • POBLE NOU. The district of Poblenou was for many decades the working and industrial center of Barcelona. Nowadays the factories are transformed into workshops of artists, residences, bars and restaurants. It turned into a residential district by the time of the Olympic Games, with the construction of Vila Olímpica and Paseo Marítimo.

  • SAGRERA. The neighborhood of Sagrera is located in the north of the city, it is administratively integrated to District IX of the city of Barcelona, officially called Sant Andreu. In this neighborhood one of the most important urban development projects of the present time in Barcelona is being carried out : the construction of the new station of the high-speed train (AVE) that will connect Barcelona to Madrid. This is a residential rather calm neighbourhood.
  • VALLCARCA. Between the districts Eixample and Tibidabo, on the hill is situated the Vallcarca district. In this zone you will find the famous Parc Guëll, created by Antoni Gaudí. Gaudí created this city park by fusing architecture with nature between 1900 and 1914. The park, nominated UNESCO world patrimony in 1984, converts nature to architecture with coulours and forms. The district is furthermoremore a residential zone, but you will also find a lot of bars and restaurants. Catching the metro you can reach the city centre in 10 minutes.
  • ZONA FRANCA. This district is situated a little bit outside of Barcelona and contains also a big part of the port. In this part of the port is produced the import/exporto f the city.
    It’s a residential zone but also very industrial, due to the good connection to the port, many big and important companies have their headquarters in the Zona Franca. It is also next to Fira de Montjuic and La Fira 2/Ciudad Judicial. It’s a quite district, but you will find many bars and restaurants. You can reach the city centre by bus in less than 15 minutes.


  • POBLE SEC: Since Poble Sec, situated in the base of the Mountain of Montjüic, you can arrive walking to the statue of Columbus, the Port Vell and the famous Ramblas. Avenue of Paral.lel, an avenue full of terraces, bars and restaurants, where there are various important theatres and pubs, defines the confine with the neighbourhood of the Raval. With its quiet streets, parks, traditional bars and its welcoming atmosphere represents an ideal place for visiting the city.
  • SANTS-MONTJUIC. The Sants-Montjuic District is located around the Plaza España and Montjuic, where famous Luminous Fountains and piromusical spectacles are celebrated; the enclosure of the Fair of Samples of Barcelona; diverse palaces and museums: the MNAC - National Museum of Art of Catalunya, the Foundation Joan Miró, etc. Parks, Gardens, Sport facilities, the Palau Sant Jordi, the Olympic Stage, etc. In the same district there is the central railway station "Barcelona-Sants".

  • LES CORTS. The neighbourhood of Les Corts was consolidating around the plaça of the Carme being incorporated to the city in 1867. Today it is a residential area with large buildings and has several commercial streets of markets, supermarkets, stores and, as well, a considerable number of bars and restaurants. It emphasizes chiefly by being found in it the Camp Nou, the field of soccer of the Soccer Club Barcelona, one of the biggest stadiums in Europe.
  • EL BORN. El Borne district is, at the moment, where all the Barcelonians would wish to live. The district is the image of the urban transformation success. Precious streets paved with stones, recovered buildings, luxury stores and bars and, above all, handsome people. The district lays between Santa Maria del Mar of a unique beauty, and the enormous market “Mercado del Borne”, where archaeological rests have been recently found. The apartment is near by all the interesting monuments in Barcelona.

  • SANTA CATERINA. The Santa Caterina district is located around the market of the same name “El Mercado de Santa Caterina” reformed by the famous architect Enric Miralles and it has become a place of cult for architecture students from all over the world. The city council of Barcelona invests great sums of money in this district because of its great potential and fantastic location between the park “Parque de la Ciudadela” and the Cathedra square “Plaza de la Catedral”.

  • SARRIA''.Sarrià-Sant Gervasi is one of the biggest districts of Barcelona, situated on the north-west of the city, surrounded by districts of Les Corts, Gràcia, Eixample i Horta-Guinardo, and by the villages of Sant Just, Sant Feliu, Molins de Rei and Sant Cugat.
    Today, Sarrià still retains a village atmosphere, even in in the middle of Barcelona, with narrow streets and lovely houses. However, the expansion of the city threatens this small-town feeling with the construction of big modern buildings in the place of small houses.

  • SANTA PERPETUA (LA FLORIDA). This nice housing development is located 20km away from Barcelona with beautiful green fields where you will be able to practice sport (football, basketball, running, cycling and horse riding), sunbathe and also eat outdoors. This village is very well served by public transport to the city centre with buses and Catalan trains (the train takes 20 minutes to reach Catalunya Square). Santa Perpetua is an ideal place to enjoy holidays, the city and to simultaneously take advantage of the peace and calm of nature. In Santa Perpetua you will find supermarkets, all kinds of shops, banks, several shopping centres and excellent restaurants (sea food restaurants, steakhouses, etc….)
